In the business market, Zeop also positions itself to address cybersecurity risks. The risk of hacking of networks and computer systems has increased considerably in recent years under the cumulative effect of the explosion of teleworking and the digitalization of business processes.. To meet this challenge, Zeop Entreprise wishes to contribute to the development of a Reunion skills base on cybersecurity. The operator has formed a partnership with SBK, a local player who knows the Reunion market well. Zeop Entreprise will take its first steps in incubating entrepreneurs specializing in cyber issues for businesses and the protection of their networks and computer systems.
The first data center in Reunion
The Océinde group formalizes the creation of a data center on the island which will be open to all companies. This international level project will offer a local solution to data hosting that, so far, is done outside Reunion. This data center is designed according to an environmental approach, with plant development of the place to combat heat islands. It will have a reduced carbon impact. Pre-commercialization is planned for January 2023, the laying of the foundation stone in April 2023 and commissioning in early 2024. Independent of Zeop, this data center will be located at the Port, the city which has seen the growth of the Océinde group and will position the Reunion area as a new digital hub.
