Viña Santa Helena is a new wine brand from Chile, distributed by Sodibel, which has just arrived on the market. An invitation to travel : embark on a discovery of one of the high quality vineyards of the largest wine-producing country in South America.
Viña Santa Helena was founded in 1942 and has more than eighty years of history. The winery is located in the Central Valley, the most emblematic, you Chili. The Central Valley benefits from optimal natural conditions in terms of climate and soil, offering perfect fertility for the production of high quality wines. “The quality of a wine begins in the vineyard, and for this reason our attention and energy are focused first on the earth, ensuring sustainable practices in all our agricultural processes. What is reflected in our different ranges. Our wines are made by an excellent team of winegrowers”, explains Mauricio Gonzalez, who leads this team.
An experienced winemaker
Diplômé in agronomy from the Ibero-American University of Sciences and Technology, Mauricio Gonzalez has worked for VSHT for over twenty years, one of Chile's largest wine exporters. His extensive experience in the sector led him to become head winemaker for the domestic market, position he held for several years. He then led the wine innovation sector, overseeing the development of new products and distinguishing himself for the excellence of his work to date. Mauritius is responsible for the wines of Saint Helena, notably Varietal ranges, Reserva et Grand Reserva.
Wines, soft, fruity and refreshing
Sodibel launches three references, a red, a white and a rosé. Viña Santa Helena Sweet Red : what wine, with red fruit flavors, is balanced and easy to drink. It is very soft in the mouth, a softness that brings roundness and a pleasant ending. (8° alcohol). Sweet White : muscat brings complexity to the peach flavors for a well-balanced wine. Acidity provides freshness, and the softness contributes to the roundness and a pleasant finish (8° alcohol). Sweet Rosé : this fruity wine is distinguished by intense notes of red fruits, like fresh raspberry, complemented by black fruits such as blueberries and blackcurrants (8° alcohol).
