Vin d’Alsace : Wolfberger unveils a new reference

The Cave Coopérative Alsacienne Wolfberger adds Pinot Gris Luxuriance to its Aromatic collection already composed of the Crémant Insouciance and Riesling Élégance vintages.

Part of the so-called “noble” grape varieties of Alsace, Pinot Gris comes from Burgundy. This is the gray variation of Pinot Noir, formerly called Tokay d'Alsace or Tokay Pinot Gris. This indication is now reserved for Hungarian sweet wines. Since 2007, only the mention of the grape variety “Pinot Gris” is used for Pinot Gris d’Alsace. Wines made from this grape variety are distinguished by their aromatic complexity, their great finesse and their good ability to age. Wolfberger offers Pinot Gris in different ranges : wine Bio, Cuvée de Grande Réserve, Alsace Grand Cru, Late Harvest, Signature, Old Vines or even Crémant. This new reference completes the colorful and expressive “trendy” range. It is also distinguished by a label that echoes its delicate notes., fruity and floral. This sweet wine is particularly appreciated as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to sweet and savory dishes or with mature cheeses..
