Generating more than 1,8 billion euros each year, tourism is a key sector of the Reunion economy. For Reunion, 2023 was a record year with 556,089 external visitors. However, many uncertainties weigh on the future of the sector, particularly due to declines in purchasing power. Organized by the Eventgo agency, the Veezit lounge, of which this will be the first edition, aims to bring renewed dynamism to this sector by promoting the Reunion destination locally, as well as nationally and internationally. To enhance our island’s tourism and leisure offerings, the event invites all local tourism stakeholders to come and promote their activity and increase their sales to visitors. Tour operators, travel agencies and other tourism professionals in France, from Germany, from Switzerland, from Belgium and other European countries, as well as the Indian Ocean area, are invited to participate. The Reunion public will be able to discover or rediscover the charms of the island and its new features. Animations, conferences, shows are scheduled for the enjoyment of families, but also to allow professionals in the sector to update their knowledge and discover new tourism trends. Fifteen thousand visitors are expected, including 2,000 professionals, and 200 exhibitors planned. More than fifty professions will be represented.
