The first international tourism and leisure fair in the Indian Ocean was held from September 6 to 8 at the Nordev convention center, in Saint-Denis. Its 130 exhibitors and twenty conferences attracted 6,000 visitors. The date of the next VEEZIT is already set : May 31 and June 1, 2025.
It must first be remembered that this show, first of its kind in Reunion, primarily aimed at a professional audience. For its organizer, the Eventgo agency, he therefore fulfilled his office, also attracting a public looking for ideas for leisure and travel activities for their vacations. Hotels, lodges, tourist offices leisure operators, travel agencies, carriers, training centers. All players in the sector, to luxury car rental companies, were represented to allow visitors to discover Reunion Island in all its aspects, but also other invited destinations. We thus noted the strong presence of Mauritius, of which the Reunion Islanders are the main tourist clientele, and Madagascar, which is currently seeking to relaunch its tourist offer, so rich culturally and environmentally. The first international tourism and leisure fair in the Indian Ocean closed with a speech from the Namibian ambassador to France, Albertus Aochamub. Also note the interesting conference program aimed primarily at the professional public with, for speakers, a wide variety of experts and testimonies from entrepreneurs who showed that innovation also permeates the tourism sector. Drawing lessons from this first edition, the next VEEZIT will take place, next year, at the end of the first semester and will be concentrated over two days.
