The future production unit of Bourbon Bois Expérience, wooden frame specialist, will not generate any waste thanks to two recycling solutions. A local first. This innovative and job-creating project is the most advanced among those supported in Reunion by the State as part of France Relance. Construction begins this month, April 25.

Director of Bourbon Bois Expérience, the Reunion Island specialist in wooden housing, Morgane Osta Amigo will unveil the two recycling solutions she imagined at the launch of the construction site of her new factory. At most she concedes that they concern wood and rubble waste, and that these are two new construction materials developed in partnership with Qualitropic and which are the subject of two patent filings. The new manufacturing and storage site is located in Pierrefonds. Five thousand square meters of surface area, including a waste sorting and processing area, plus a showroom and offices. The factory will include two product lines : one for wooden frames, the other for kitchens and cupboards. Production capacity will be multiplied by three compared to the current Port site which has become too narrow. Ten job creations will strengthen the current team of 17 employees. Construction of the new factory begins on April 25. Morgane Osta Amigo sets the goal of delivering the building on December 31, 2021.

From renewal to leap forward
Wooden structure, framework, cladding, paneling, deck, shutters, cuisine, placard, staircase… By taking over certain assets of Bourbon Bois in 2018, Morgane Osta Amigo saved the jobs and know-how of an emblematic Reunion building company. She developed them, expanded to new products while completely renewing customer relationships. This approach leads, for example, to adjusting the price of construction according to what the client is capable of doing himself.. To translate this relationship valuing the service, Morgane Osta Amigo added Experience in Bourbon Bois. Success awaits. And to enrich the connection with the public, Bourbon Bois Expérience has set up a training school which provides self-construction courses, house design, etc. Visible on You Tube, these courses will also be held in person as soon as the Pierrefonds site opens its doors. The recovery and reuse of materials will be on the agenda…

Another way of seeing
The project for a complete transformation of raw wood (that is to say without waste) is part of the same ethical and responsible approach. “It’s another way of seeing our profession” summarizes Morgane Osta Amigo, who wanted her project to benefit the South of Reunion where she is from. A manner which is also a form of challenge for this former real estate value expert who radically changed her professional path by becoming the head of a wooden building company.. “It has always been my belief. I think that the industry must seek to develop integrated production lines to leave no waste behind.. This is what we are going to do. » As part of the Recovery Plan, the State contributes 800,000 euros to this 3 million euro investment project.
