Thomas Derichebourg, president of Derichebourg Environnement, inaugurated the group’s Saint-Pierre agency on April 11.
On this occasion, he presented the very first electric dump truck for collecting household waste on the island., “a solution adapted to the changing environmental expectations of cities and communities”. Derichebourg Indian Ocean has opted for a model from the manufacturer Renault Trucks, leader on the French market for electric household waste dumpsters. This is the first vehicle of this type in Overseas France. Its “limited carbon impact on the environment meets the commitment made by the Derichebourg group at the time of the call for tenders”, specifies the latter in a press release.
