Le RSMAR, the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of Reunion Island (CMAR) and GBH implement a Springboard program for employment in the automobile mechanics sector. The three institutions have signed an agreement to launch the recruitment of fifteen students who will be offered a permanent contract in a GBH subsidiary..

Initiated by GBH, this type of partnership aims to offer concrete opportunities for professional integration to young people who are far from employment and without a diploma, wishing to engage in promising sectors. The signing of the agreement marks the start of the recruitment process for this new version of the Tremplin pour l’emploi program. : fifteen places open for young people interested in careers in mechanics and automobiles. Candidates will have the opportunity to benefit from comprehensive and intensive training, allowing them to acquire the skills necessary to obtain the professional title of automobile maintenance mechanic (CAP level). The training course will last sixteen months, divided into two phases. RSMA training where, for six months, participants housed within the RSMA of Saint-Pierre will be immersed in a structured and supervised environment and will have the opportunity to take the military driving certificate (which can be transformed into a driving license). Then training at the CFA of Saint-Pierre, where candidates will benefit from specialized training lasting ten months on a work-study basis : they will work three weeks per month in a GBH automobile subsidiary and one week at the CFA. This step will allow them to deepen their knowledge in the fields of mechanics and automotive professions..

A need for recruitment
Once their professional title is in hand, participants will have the opportunity to sign a permanent contract within a subsidiary of the automotive sector of the GBH group : Speedy, REP, Cheap tire, Norauto. “Our automobile subsidiaries all make the same observation. There is a mismatch between profiles and needs on the ground. Thanks to the Tremplin pour l’emploi training program, GBH participates in the skills development of young Reunion Islanders by responding to a recruitment need for these professions in tension”, explains Pascal Chavignat, human resources director of GBH.

Signature of the agreement between Bernard Picardo, President of the CMAR, Colonel Régis Chopard, RSMAR corps commander, and Pascal Chavignat, human resources director of GBH.

SPRINGBOARD FOR DECLINED EMPLOYMENT IN OTHER DOM
This new promotion of the GBH Tremplin pour l’emploi solidarity training program is a continuation of the group’s previous initiatives.. In 2022, GBH successfully launched this program in the sales sector in partnership with the Second Chance School of Reunion Island. (E2C). Building on this success, Springboard for employment has since been rolled out in several other overseas territories. The launch of the program in the mechanical and automotive sector, in partnership with the CMAR and the RSMA, also marks another step in this dynamic of social action and support towards employment.
