The permanent commission of the Region validated on November 17 the financing plan for the future high school for hotel and tourism professions.
The cost of the operation is now estimated at 84 million euros, including 6 million pieces of equipment. The selected financing plan commits the Region to the tune of 44,8 million euros and the State for 39 million. The French Development Agency will provide 150,000 euros for programming studies, geotechnical and topographical surveys. The start of work is planned for June 2026 and final delivery for the start of the school year in August 2028. This high school will be located in Saint-André, in synergy with the construction project of the university campus near Colosse Park. The future educational center in the East will aim to balance the training offers in each microregion of the island.
