The announcement was made at the end of November by the Secretary of State for Ecology, Bérangère Couillard, and the Minister of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, Christophe Béchu. Textile manufacturing is in fact a source of pollution regularly denounced by NGOs. Thirteen major French textile brands have already committed to implementing this Eco-Score which proposed a rating probably based on letters as for the Nutri-Score.
