A tender birthday for Milka

Publicityspot_img

To celebrate its 120 years of existence, the famous Milka brand announces the deployment of a massive communication campaign which focuses on gluttony and tenderness to be even closer to its Reunion consumers.

These 120 years are an opportunity to remember the origin of this milk chocolate with a unique taste. Where does it come from, this taste ? Loyalty to a recipe and 100% Alpine milk from family dairy farms (800 today) whose production is entirely dedicated to Milka. Since its beginnings, the brand has only used milk from the Alpine Country to produce its chocolate.. This milk comes from the valleys of the Alps, as well as the Alpine foothills. Before being mixed with chocolate, milk is transformed into powder and butter. If decades of experience have made it possible to refine the recipe, the “chocolate pioneer” Swiss Philippe Suchard already used milk powder to make chocolate. Each Milka tablet then acquires the same taste because it is produced according to a strictly controlled process.

Milka et Cocoa Life

After milk, cocoa is the most important ingredient in Milka chocolate. On this plane, Milka contributes to sustainable cocoa cultivation amid sharply increasing demand for chocolate around the world. Since 2019, the entire range of Milka chocolates participates in the Cocoa Life program led by parent company Mondelez International. An initiative launched in 2012 to improve the working and living conditions of cocoa producers in growing countries and promote the sustainable cultivation of high-quality cocoa.

Adelaide, the purple cow

The history of the brand begins in 1825 with the opening of Philippe Suchard’s first confectionery. The Milka brand was registered in 1901… For its packaging, the choice falls on mauve which refers to Art Nouveau then in vogue, and the cow and the mountain pastures symbolize the milk of the Alps. In 1973, the first advertising spot was broadcast with the Adelaide cow in purple, which became the symbol of the brand.. Since 2011, the slogan “Dare to be tender” has accompanied it… Milka has been part of the food industry giant Kraft Foods since 1990., became Mondelez International, one of the world leaders in the agri-food industry, and, In France, number one in the biscuit markets. In 2021, Milka offers a range of chocolate bars for young and old available in many crunchy flavors, crunchy hazelnuts or classic melt in the mouth. And the brand offers a whole category of chocolate biscuits under its umbrella brand., cakes, cookies et brownies.
