Saint-Denis became the seventh city in France to adopt the UMAY application, which offers a subscription to local authorities to have a dynamic map constructed from anonymized user reports. They choose people they trust among their loved ones ; when traveling, their geolocation is transmitted to them in real time. Reports from other users who felt unsafe, victims of street harassment, sexist remarks or verbal attacks during the last thirty minutes are also visible, allowing you to avoid a particular area. COME, which already has 30,000 active users in France, thus offers secure urban travel. UMAY also relies on a network of 6,500 establishments that it labels “safe places” : bars, restaurants and nightclubs, but also points of sale, stores and institutions, gendarmes and police stations, so many places where the user who feels threatened can take shelter. In Saint-Denis, several safe places have already been certified, notably businesses on rue Maréchal-Leclerc.
