Our educational model is based on taking into account everyone's skills, in order to consolidate them and develop the employability of young people. Our students become 100% actors in their future” says Laurence Akossi. As a result, the promotions that follow one another since the opening of the school in 2019, full of nuggets. Federation for Education in Europe
“School dropouts are still too high in Reunion Island and the first professional integration is complex for our young people. HEDECI strives to reduce these two statistics” continues the founder of this school inspired by Anglo-Saxon schools.. HEDECI is authorized to issue diplomas and certifications recognized by the Fede (Federation for Education in Europe), international non-governmental organization sharing a common project of requirements, of quality and ambition with more than 500 schools in the network. “We put young people face to face with themselves within the framework of general projects and we reward all good attitudes” continues the director. And it starts at the very beginning of the year with the election of class delegates with the preparation of a speech and an electoral campaign.
Project management at the heart of teaching
First-year students will organize open days in October and March. Young people in their second year will present the school's application for an eco-school project evaluated by the United Nations. The third year students will be responsible for organizing the graduation and the end of year party.. From project development to implementation, young people are responsible for the successful completion of their mission and compliance with the budget envelope that they have previously established. It is in this context that last year, three students presented a project and received the Fede Human Rights Excellence Award in 2020/21. “We had a 90% pass rate last year and we hope to exceed those numbers this year. We do everything we can to ensure they get the best start to their careers. Their success is our success ! ».
