Created in April 2022 by Coralie Fridmann, the Olokaï events agency makes eco-responsibility a principle and an operating method at the service of its clients to give even more meaning to their events and their communication.
Coralie Fridmann cut her teeth for more than ten years within the famous local events agency Jour de Fête.. As competent in the creation of turnkey events as in the design of communication campaigns and marketing consulting, it stands out for the central place it gives to eco-responsibility in its activity. This specialty notably earned Jour de Fête the CSR performance prize in 2021 as part of the PME RSE Trophies from Medef Réunion.. “I wanted to explore this approach further and encourage my clients to move in this direction.. I’m at the stage where I can show how to work differently”, declares the founder of Olokaï to explain her desire to stand on her own two feet. In summary, Olokaï takes a further step by guaranteeing the application of good CSR practices in the organization of events or any other service.
Team building as a means of raising awareness
What are we talking about ? Minimum waste, water and energy saving, use of biosourced material. But also as few goodies as possible, or with responsible and quality products. Ensure accessibility to events for people with reduced mobility, visually or hearing impaired. In catering, the choice of caterers favoring local products, seasonal, organic if budget allows, and providing a vegetarian menu. We can also mention non-alcoholic cocktails, etc. Eco-responsibility is reflected in the details of the organization of each event. Olokaï’s team building offer is in tune with its proposals for activities with a significant societal vocation, such as the recovery of fruits and vegetables that have not been harvested or are considered unsaleable by merchants to deliver them to the Food Bank, or the preparation and distribution of solidarity meals with the anti-waste association Phénix.
AN INNOVATIVE SERVICE FOR THE TERRITORY
In collaboration with the consulting firm Green Événements, Olokaï exclusively offers strategic and operational support to obtain the LEAD label, first label evaluating the results of an event in terms of eco-responsibility on the basis of a benchmark of excellence. LEAD attests to the reality of the effort and good practices in the design and organization of the event.
The red carpet : questioning a symbol
Example : the general meeting of a large local company for which it seemed, at the beginning, essential to roll out a huge red carpet for your guests. By experience, Coralie Fridmann knows that the tens of meters of carpet used in these circumstances end up in the trash the next day. His recommendation ? Give up red carpet or, otherwise, ensure at least a second life in a resource center or partner association. “We didn’t put it on”, and the assembly as well as the evening which followed were very appreciated. “I have been working for a long time with a network of service providers and partner associations which allows me to offer solutions for each situation.. It is of course the customer who decides, but I hope that he becomes aware of the stakes of his choice. »
OLOKAÏ, PARTNER OF THE 5R FESTIVAL
Raise awareness about waste reduction and highlight local actors and actresses : this is the goal of the 5R Festival, which will invite everyone to begin or continue their approach towards zero waste by presenting simple and accessible solutions. In the program : meetings with local associations, workshops to make your own zero waste products, a marmay space, conferences on waste in Reunion, animations on the ecological transition. See you on September 30 at the 20-Décembre park in Saint-Leu.
