After two successful editions, the third Cluster Green forum reinvents itself. Focused on the actors of the ecological transition, the event, supported by the SICR, ADEME and the Réunion Region, is held exclusively online from September 27 to December 26, 2021.
Le Cluster Green (Regional Group of Companies committed to the Environment) is an association which brings together multi-sector companies and public and private organizations wishing to make the environment a lever for economic development, ecological and societal for Reunion and in the Indian Ocean zone. Created in 2011 at the initiative of the SICR (Réunion Import and Trade Union), Cluster Green has set itself three strategic axes to achieve its mission, namely link building, the promotion and enhancement of good practices as well as support for companies and organizations towards the Efficiency label that the Cluster has set up. Despite the pandemic, Cluster Green reiterates its desire to make Réunion a lever for sustainable development. A 100% digital conference was held on Thursday September 16 on the theme : “Is the ecological transition possible today? ? ». This conference aimed to initiate the first debates on the ecological transition in Reunion and to preview the forum. “The major disruptions that our businesses are currently experiencing, strengthen Green’s determination to act in this direction and make our common ambition a reality” explains Valérie Chow Ping Mo, general director of Cluster Green. The Green Cluster has therefore chosen to devote its third forum to the actors of the ecological transition, following on from the two eco-business forums organized in 2016 and 2018. " This year, the pandemic pushed us to innovate. We are therefore launching a 100% digital forum which will last three months. In this time of crisis, it is important to find each other, to reconnect and so that everyone can reaffirm their commitment to the sustainable development of our territory” explains Stéphanie Cavalie, responsible for business relations and communication at Cluster Green.
A showcase of know-how and good practices
The virtual forum aims to be a showcase for the know-how of local eco-businesses and in particular members of the Green Cluster.. It also aims to be a breeding ground for good practices in CSR and the circular economy., as well as a place for debate and exchange. “The forum for stakeholders in the ecological transition constitutes a lever for communicating on the five pillars of the Efficiency label : quality of life at work, attractiveness and territorial anchoring, environmental progress, sustainable production and consumption and CSR governance and strategy” explains Sandrino Ramanitrarivo, Sustainable development referent & QSE au Cluster Green. Available 24/7, the event platform brings together a virtual exhibition with the stands of the companies involved, live conferences and replays, a map of responsible actors in Reunion, as well as a partnership grant. A photo exhibition “Re-Cyclages, another look at waste” is also to be discovered. The highlight of the forum will be held from September 27 to October 2. Nevertheless, Internet users will still be able to access the show and participate in the various thematic conferences until December 26.
