Founded almost two hundred years ago, Talisker Distillery is the oldest on the Isle of Skye, in Scotland. It has forged its know-how by developing peated single malts, powerful and iodized, like this earth.
Talisker means “the steep rock” in the Nordic language. Sensitive to its extreme environment, where the sea is a challenge as much as a source of inspiration, the distillerie I imagined Talisker Wilder Seas : an edition with marine notes, as exotic as they are complex, in a bottle made from recycled glass. Talisker has been committed for several years to the preservation of this terroir and its precious resources.. Already involved in protecting the oceans and 10,000 hectares of underwater forests around the world, the distillery is today launching its limited edition Wilder Seas. This single malt enhances the marine power and smoky notes emblematic of Talisker. Furthermore, aging in XO Cognac barrels expresses citrus notes and beautiful complexity more than ever. Under an amber color with glowing reflections, the nose becomes very expressive, both powerful and voluminous, combining intensity and freshness, the marine smoke and the exotic touch. At the palace, the mouth is creamy, then spreads over the spices, the salty side and delicate wood, typical of Talisker.
A historic environmental shift
This is the very first edition without a case for Talisker, presented in a 100% recycled glass bottle. The edition is thus committed to an approach favoring a return to the essentials and the primary codes of high-end.
