Thanks to its new production line, STILL is to date the only intralogistics manufacturer to offer its customers storage devices equipped as standard with a fuel cell.
STILL, one of the world leaders in the field of handling equipment, launched a fuel cell production unit at its Hamburg factory. The brand becomes the first manufacturer in Europe to offer, for his carts, its own fuel cell system. All battery production is internalized : the components are manufactured in the factory's mechatronic center then assembled on the production line. The final quality check is carried out on a specially designed test bench. It includes a testing process to ensure that each fuel cell is functioning properly, that the pressurized hydrogen tank is perfectly sealed and does not emit any gas. “STILL has been involved for many years in various projects and initiatives for the development of hydrogen technology”, welcomes Christophe Oruzio, responsible for hydrogen development for STILL France. “We have acquired solid experience and in-depth skills, which allow us to offer our customers technically advanced and profitable solutions”.
