Coupled with Ti Boutik cardboard and online ordering, delivery via the Chronopost circuit solves the difficulties of supplying sandwich bread and pastries to small local shops and remote locations, and at no extra cost to them.

“St Rolan reaches out to small businesses and neighborhood restaurants to give them the means to remain dynamic. Supporting the revitalization of local commerce is, for us, a form of commitment at the same time as one more outlet” explains Pierre Paul Leccia, director of the Reunionese bread and pastries brand. This is because the equation of supplying small, dispersed and distant customers is not easy to solve. : it is, for St Rolan delivery trucks, a long way to go to deliver small volumes of products to a multitude of points of sale, traffic jams further complicate things. “We barely touched this clientele even though they play an essential role in maintaining social ties in neighborhoods and gaps” underlines Pierre Paul Leccia, presenting the solution found. : an offer designed for small businesses, to order online, and a partnership with Chronopost for delivery, at no additional cost to the buyer.

The Ti Boutik cardboard
Faced with the drop in mail, the Post Office subsidiary seeks to diversify into home delivery, a growing activity with the development of digital. St Rolan has therefore imagined an offer adapted to the needs of small businesses in terms of quantity of products which facilitates delivery of Chronopost. The Ti Boutik box contains 18 products (twelve plain sandwich loaves and six wholemeal loaves) instead of the standard St Rolan box of 18 natural products. Additional argument : the company covers the cost of delivery. Online ordering, hitherto little used although in place for almost seven years for small accounts, completes the device. The merchant creates an account on the St Rolan website reserved for professionals (b2b.saintrolan.re). Via a code personnel, he has access to the St Rolan range and the Ti Boutik cardboard. He can order as many times as he wants during the week. Orders placed before 10 a.m. are delivered the next day ; after 10 a.m., two days later. A minimum order amount of 70 euros is however required. Result : no additional costs linked to delivery, less risk of unsold items with mixed cardboard, a direct order without an intermediary and a secure supply time guaranteeing the freshness of the products.

St Rolan, an emblematic brand of the Reunion industry
Many consumers think that St Rolan is a domestic and imported brand ! St Rolan is a pure Reunion company, born in 1987 in Saint-Leu. The brand first built its reputation by producing excellent rusks which met with great success before being competed by cheaper imported rusks.. St Rolan then turned to fresh breads and pastries having more difficulty traveling. Here again, it has established itself through the quality of its products, developing a range which has continued to be enriched with new products. Latest, Last year, St Rolan launched a crustless sandwich bread popular with children.. Another notable novelty was the launch on the market in 2019, on the occasion of the Grand Raid of which the brand is an official partner, two loaves with very low glycemic indices (35 et 25), indices certified by the European laboratory Eurofin. No added fat and classified Nutriscore A, these breads aimed at sports customers. St Rolan employs more than 80 people. After moving from Saint-Leu to Saint-Paul (Cambaie), the company is established today at the Port.
