SPHB flagship product, ISIO 4 oil adds additional quality to its nutritional value in October : its new bottle is lighter in plastic. otherwise, all SPHB references now include 25% recycled PET in their manufacturing.
At the beginning, the need to change the labeler, material dating from the beginnings of the factory, 35 years ago. On arrival, a program to modernize the entire Lesieur oil bottling process. Started in September 2020, Jean-Marie Ollivier, new general manager, oriented the reflection with his teams in several directions : safety and ergonomics of equipment to improve working conditions, rationalization of packaging (bottles, caps, labels, over-packaging) on all ranges, reducing the amount of plastic, cardboard and other supplies used, the integration of RPET into packaging. SPHB also joined, over there, the environmental commitments of the Avril group, of which the Reunion industrialist is a subsidiary. Result : from October, changing the shape and cap of the ISIO 4 bottle and other references reduces the plastic needed for its production by around 8%. The new design of its reduced label, on his side, the annual need for glue and solvent of several tonnes per year. Finally, the RPET is integrated, up to 25% to trade, in all references produced (aiming for the next step of 50% as soon as possible and 100% eventually). The new molds purchased to make the lightweight bottles led SPHB to upgrade the bottling line. The technological gain is important for the industrialist and leads to an increase in the skills of the teams. A young person specializing in automation maintenance was hired on a work-study basis. Aid from France Relance for this project will cover up to 50% of the overall investment expenditure, which is around 500,000 euros.. Note that SPHB affixes, also from October, the Nutriscore on its locally manufactured oils.
