New packaging, shield quality price, industrial equipment limiting plastic packaging, support a local artist : the spirit of rice, message of equality, of mutual aid and confidence in the future, blows on the Reunionese company.
Historically the first rice mill in Reunion, Soboriz, with its brands Le Forban and Le Capricorne, has been selecting the best rice in the world for over 50 years. More than ever focused on the future, Soboriz has always strived to evolve to meet the demands of as many people as possible with quality products.. Nowadays, the company meets the requirements of its customers by also acting on the environmental and societal front. Soboriz innovates and sets an example in this first half of 2021 with the installation of a new industrial machine which reduces the use of plastic for packaging products during their handling in batches. The company installed a new industrial machine in May, a cartoner made up of 3 completely autonomous robots, for the packaging of all of its products in 1 kg and 2 kg formats. This machine allows items to be boxed in batches and facilitates their handling for each participant until delivery to customers.. It is a significant alternative to the plastic packaging historically used for the packaging of these products..
Packaging redesign
“Perfume of the Mekong” rice (5 kg et 10 kg) and “Flavors of Punjab” (5 kg) change your look this year. The challenge is to bring a little freshness to brands and energize the market while keeping consumer satisfaction in mind.. It is important to emphasize that the contents of the bags do not change, and the same applies to the information appearing on the products (EAN, supplier code, PCB…). Note that the reference Parfum du Mekong 10 kg is this year part of the list of BQP products retained in Carrefour stores, Leader Price, Run Market and Intermark. To relay information to consumers, Soboriz has planned an information sticker affixed to the first 15,000 bags, as well as shelf-stoppers in stores.
When local industry meets Street Art
From May 10 to 14, Soboriz welcomed the artist Yren, expert in the field of Street art in Reunion.
As part of an artistic project in the city of the Port, the artist was looking for walls to create graph works. The Soboriz company was happy to welcome him to create a huge personalized fresco measuring six meters in diameter. : the artist painted a stylized version of the Le Forban logo on the wall of the warehouse which overlooks the parking lot of two supermarkets in the city (Leclerc and Carrefour Market). Difficult to be more visible ! For the occasion, photographer Serge Marizy from Zone Australe accompanied him throughout his intervention to take photos and videos of the project. These photos and videos can be discovered or rediscovered on the Le Forban Facebook page.
