The French Franchise Federation unreservedly supports the action plan for the simplification bill presented by the government.

The French Franchise Federation (FFF) greets enthusiastically, in a press release, the simplification measures for businesses of all sizes announced by Ministers Bruno Le Maire and Olivia Grégoire as part of the simplification bill. The specific announcements devoted to trade demonstrate that it is at the heart of government concerns and attest to the fruitfulness of the work carried out within the National Commerce Council (CNC), in which the FFF was fully committed. The “SME test” making full-scale tests mandatory before the application of new standards to companies, the creation of ad hoc tools for small structures and the simplification of administrative procedures announced “are in the direction of improving the competitiveness of our companies”.

Attention to traders

Véronique Discourse-Buhot, general delegate of the French Franchise Federation.

The FFF particularly welcomes the attention paid to traders via the announcement of the monthly payment of rents and the concomitant capping of security deposits, “strong signal to our businesses for which rent constitutes one of the main cost lines”. The effort to simplify administrative procedures for companies should be highlighted, especially for the following three measures. The abolition of the authorization procedure, replaced by a declaration procedure for commercial units of less than 300 m2 in type 1 establishments open to the public (from 1,501 people), 2 (from 701 to 1,500 people) et 3 (from 301 to 700 people). The dematerialization of the commercial operating authorization procedure (AEC). Alignment of building permit deadlines and AECs.

A breakthrough for all entrepreneurs
“As representatives of trade and service professionals, we are fully committed to actively participating in the implementation of this bill. We will provide our full collaboration to the Ministry of the Economy, as we have done since day one at the CNC to ensure that it meets the needs and aspirations of French entrepreneurs. I say it very clearly : to bear fruit, simplification must be accompanied by stopping the proliferation of new texts, new standards and analysis of the effectiveness of existing texts by the legislator”, underlines Véronique Discours-Buhot, general delegate of the FFF. “This simplification plan is a real step forward for all entrepreneurs”, she considers, announcing that the federation will closely follow the different stages of the examination of the text in Parliament from June 3.
