Philippe-Alexandre Rebboah was unanimously re-elected as president of the Réunion Trade and Import Union, last October 10.
Over the past two years, the SICR recorded an increase of 32% in its members, currently numbering 142. The import sector represents more than 38,000 jobs in Reunion Island, i.e. a quarter of employees in the private sector. In terms of current affairs, the SICR has launched several initiatives to reduce addictive practices linked to alcohol consumption and continues its commitment to the decarbonization of the economy and the animation of sectors with extended producer responsibility, with the subject of hazardous waste management as a backdrop. The office is composed of Adam Ravate, vice-president, by Simon Forster and Olivier Kœnig, alternate vice-presidents, d'Arzou Mahamadaly, treasurer, and Olivier Mercier, secretary.
