Another notable Reunion initiative, SFR Business Réunion is launching a Cyber Academy in April in collaboration with the training organization specializing in IT, the Academy of Knowledge. Main target audience : VSEs and SMEs in Reunion and Mayotte. In the program, developed cybersecurity training, structured, adapted to each profession, with an emphasis on the role of human resources in the dissemination of good practices. Objective? Preventing the number one weakness in systems protection : human error.
“Small businesses are prime targets for ransomware, because for them cybersecurity is often an afterthought. Not only are they easy to hack, but also very likely to pay, because they do not have the necessary funds to support a prolonged shutdown of their activities. » Cyber Academy training sessions, which start this month, will bring together groups of ten to twelve people maximum. William Desjardins, responsible for the cybersecurity offering at SFR Business and architect of this strategy to combat cyber-malware through training, will display this quote on screen so that everyone takes the time to read it and understand its implications. It is signed Thomas Smalakys, director of new technologies at NordLocker, American publisher of cloud encryption software. La Cyber Academy, first of its kind, is an initiative of SFR Business Réunion. It constitutes progress based on in-depth educational reflection on how to train in technical protection measures and good cybersecurity practices.. SFR Business has joined forces with the Academy of Knowledge, training organization specializing in IT, founded nine years ago by Chihab Abdelkrim, also teaching at the University of Reunion. The Cyber Academy is open to all companies, public associations and organizations, but is particularly aimed at small and medium-sized businesses. The artisanal and commercial economic fabric, which constitutes the bulk of Reunion’s economy, is the most poorly prepared and most vulnerable to attacks. No need to be a customer of SFR Business to participate and the Cyber Academy offers are eligible for various training funding.
SFR Business opens its amphitheater to the business public
The novelty is also in the form. For more efficiency, but also to give more solemnity to the issue of accountability, cybersecurity knowledge transfer takes place outside of companies. SFR Business sets up the beautiful amphitheater of its headquarters, at the port, at the service of the Cyber Academy. The Knowledge Academy opens, as for her, its two Technor training sites, in Saint-Denis, a Techsud, in Saint-Pierre. In Mayotte, training will be provided at the Kawéni business center. Cybersecurity programs will be broken down by level of responsibility and by function so that all departments and all personnel in a company will be concerned., from beginner to IT security manager. The training will last one day. The goal is to create the best conditions for receptivity and for everyone, at the end of the training, either on the same wavelength. “We mobilize our resources to support these training courses because people are at the center of any faults that may arise. : it is essential to involve all employees without exception”, declares Arnaud Damour, director of SFR Business.
The fundamentals of cybersecurity on the program
The Cyber Academy provides the “fundamentals of cybersecurity” to increase the skills of technical and non-technical teams and thus limit risks in compliance with current regulations. (RGPD, CNIL). Its training is based on four pillars. The fundamentals for managers and decision-makers (DG, management committee, Executive Committee, etc.), including the decisions that must be made. Fundamentals by profession, which will concern, first, Human Resources Management, as well as the administrative and financial departments, sales and marketing, legal, logistics, etc. (depending on the profession, what are the measures to take and the reflexes to adopt depending on the tasks to be accomplished). Fundamentals for project managers, in order to integrate cybersecurity into the design of any project on computer networks or in the development of an application. Finally, technical fundamentals : This specialized part is aimed at those responsible for information systems security (monitors threats, risk management, crisis management, etc.).
Teaching adapted to all levels
The Cyber Academy has designed programs adapted to the reality of everyone's work. In a company, most people who use a computer have only a cursory knowledge of computers, or even have none, including leaders. Before addressing cybersecurity issues, it therefore seemed useful to provide the bases allowing everyone to understand the digital universe. Another originality of this pedagogy, the training strategy by profession, with emphasis on human resources management. “Our training is HR oriented, because HR managers have a particular role to play in terms of cybersecurity. Handling a lot of sensitive data, they must put in place an action plan to protect themselves against attacks.”, underlines Guillaume Desjardins. In all cases, everyone will leave with training support, to which he can refer.
