60% of Seychellois adults had received a first dose of Covid-19 vaccine as of February 17 and 28% had received the second dose. The vaccination campaign began on January 10, with the Astra Zeneca formula and that proposed by the Chinese Sinopharm. The country's authorities estimate that at this rate, collective immunity will be achieved in mid-March and the opening of borders to tourists from all countries, provided they are vaccinated, will then be possible. The archipelago was relatively spared by the pandemic : mid-February, just over 2,200 cases of Covid-19 had been recorded in the country, for 10 deaths.
