More than 180,000 tourists in 2021
Seychelles tourist numbers have started to recover in 2021, after the shock of the health crisis. Last year, the archipelago welcomed 182,849 visitors, figure up 59% compared to 2020. Russia leads the source markets, with 32,000 arrivals, ahead of the United Arab Emirates (21 725) and France (18 545). Tourism brought revenues of $268 million to the country, compared to 221 million in 2020 : figures still far from the performance of 2019, when the 384,000 visitors to Seychelles brought $590 million to the country.
