Carbon neutrality objective in 2050
The Seychelles presented their project aiming to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 at the end of October, in line with the objectives of the 2015 Paris Agreement. The Seychelles project has two main axes : reducing human emissions, particularly those from transport and industries using fossil fuels, and offsetting residual emissions through carbon capture solutions, that they are natural, via reforestation, or technological, such as direct capture of carbon from the air. It will be accompanied by the United Nations Development Program.
