$7 million profit for Air Seychelles
Air Seychelles achieves historic profit of $7 million in 2023, announced the airline in mid-September. It records a second consecutive financial year in the green and significantly exceeds its budget forecasts. The national airline specifies that it injects its profits into repaying its debt and providing for possible return costs of the A320 that it rents with crew.. Air Seychelles operates two Airbus A320neo on its international routes. In June 2023, the company opened the route between Mahé and Colombo airport (Sri Lanka), its fifth international destination. It also serves Johannesburg, Mumbai and Mauritius, but had to interrupt its service to Tel Aviv last October, following the outbreak of hostilities between Israel and Hamas.
