Seychellois oil tankers report
Seychelles Petroleum Company's fleet of four tankers raked in $25 million profit in 2022, year marked by the surge in hydrocarbon prices. The Seypec, created in 1985 after the departure of the Shell Oil Company, achieved a turnover of $480 million last year. More than half of these revenues come from the sale of fuel to fishing vessels operating in Seychelles waters.. Seypec is also a windfall for the State : in 2022, she paid him 18 million dollars in dividends and nearly 60 million in professional taxes.
