The city of Saint-Denis had allocated 1,5 million euros to its participatory budget in 2024, third of the name.
At the end of a first selection phase, 54 projects, out of 171 presented by citizens of the capital, were put to a vote, online or organized on different sites. Nearly 9,000 “voters” expressed their views and 26 projects were finally selected in June. They are divided into eleven categories : social or digital innovation, biodiversity, nature en ville, development of public spaces, heritage enhancement, education, waste and cleanliness, mobilities, sports and leisure, citizenship, solidarity. The municipality will thus finance vegetable garden or market gardening projects in Chaudron., at Moufia and Bois-de-Nèfles, a herbal tea shack in La Bretagne, a street workout park in Barachois, benches for seniors in public places, awareness panels on the banks of the Saint-Denis River, a youth space in Primat…
