The two brands present the new cartridge packaging for their professional ranges, that contain at least 75% recycled materials.

Rubson and Pattex professional fixing and sealant cartridges get a makeover with new recycled packaging that contains a minimum of 75% recycled materials. This overhaul is part of a global approach by the Henkel group, which aims to replace all virgin cartridges of compatible formulas with recycled cartridges. Henkel wants to anticipate market needs in terms of sustainable development. For this purpose, the group transforms its processes, its products and its use of raw materials with the help of trusted partners. Its objectives : 100% packaging designed for recycling or reuse ; at least 30% recycled materials for all consumer product packaging ; less than 50% production waste per ton of product (compared to 2010) and a circular use of its waste from production.

THE RUBSON PRO RANGE

Sanitary, acrylic, building, seal and glue, specialties : Rubson offers a range of products from classic solutions for basic needs to options offering additional properties to meet specific needs. The integration of 75% recycled materials led to a change in the color of the packaging which is now black, unlike earlier Rubson cartridges which were white. However, some of the putty formulas are not compatible with these new cartridges and therefore cannot display the “75%” logo.

THE PATTEX PRO RANGE

The packaging, in its entirety, is made from 75% recycled materials. Here again, the use of these recycled materials results in changing from the original white to black, thus slightly modifying the design of the packaging. And some formulas are not compatible with recycled cartridges. This is the case, For example, PRO 90 Fixotac glue which, due to its solvent-based formulas, cannot be contained in recycled cartridges. Likewise, the PRO 400 Crystal requires a transparent cartridge, essential to demonstrate the color of the product contained, which is not possible with recycled cartridges.

The ecological transition from white to black in stores

To mark this launch, a sales system is set up in stores until the end of 2024. The POS includes new pediments and promotional displays in the shape of black cartridges, decorated with decorative garlands. A competition is also organized to attract and engage customers, and strengthen the appeal and visibility of Rubson and Pattex products in store.
