The Ravate group and Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies have signed an agreement, in September in Paris, for the marketing in Reunion of a carbon-free cement. Called H-IONA, this new product emits less than 150 kilos of CO2 per tonne of cement, compared to around 850 kilos for traditional cement. Founded in 2014, Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies designed, produces and markets innovative, highly carbon-free cements with a significantly reduced carbon footprint. The group considers itself to be at the origin of a real technological breakthrough, based on changing the composition of cement and creating a cold, clean manufacturing process, sans clinker. Hoffmann Green cements are manufactured on a first industrial site 4.0, without oven or fireplace, in Vendée. They are aimed at all markets in the construction sector and present, at equivalent dosage and without any modification to the concrete manufacturing process, superior performance to traditional cement.
