A great way to discover another expertise of Champagne : not happy.
Ratafia M-Marcoult is a blend of fine Marne wine and grape juice., placed in oak barrels for aging for a minimum of 24 months. Florence and Julien Marcoult put Loïc to work, the distiller from the village of Barbonne-Fayel, to produce a fine aromatic and gentle heating heart. The alcohol is produced with M-Marcoult wines and handcrafted at the forge distillery, in Barbonne-Fayel. The fine de la Marne is the result of iron distillation over a wood fire., made with a 250 liter Coyac still in operation since 1951. The most aromatic grape juice – that from the last press of the grapes – known as le rebec, contributes to the assembly of the Ratafia M-Marcoult. Chardonnay is used as the base of Ratafia Ambré and Pinot noir as the base of Ratafia Rosé, hence its natural amaranth color. Ratafia M-Marcoult is unfiltered. Passed to natural cold, a slight deposit may appear, without altering the quality of the liquor.
