Uneven economic recovery, according to the World Bank. The economic rebound expected in 2021 after the shock of the health crisis will be of unequal magnitude across Africa as a whole, according to the latest World Bank estimates.
Djibouti would be the champion of the recovery, with a growth of 7,1% of its Gross Domestic Product. Mauritius is the best-placed Indian Ocean island in the World Bank ranking, in 10th position with growth announced at 5,3% pour 2021.
Seychelles appears in 25th place (+3,1%), far enough in front of the Comoros (37 hours, +2,4%). Forecasts are more modest for Madagascar, which is in 42nd position out of 52 countries, with a GDP growing by only 2%.
