The city of Saint-Denis is the winner of the “fertile neighborhoods” call for projects launched by the National Agency for Urban Renewal (Anru), for its project to create five allotment gardens in the heart of the Vauban districts, Butor and Bas de rue Maréchal Leclerc, within the scope of the Northeast Coast Urban Renewal Project (prunelle). In addition to the proliferation of allotment gardens at the foot of buildings, it also provides for the original creation of an urban farm in an unused underground parking lot. Other part of the project : the installation of hives on roofs. “This reward is just a step”, comments the municipality which has embarked on a labeling process in order to obtain the Eco-Quartiers label.
