Designed by digital business services agency Squirrel, Fidelatoo is an application that simplifies the management of loyalty programs for merchants. Hence its exponential success in less than two years of existence. Squirrel sera, nicer, at Vivatech to present the new version of Fidelatoo, richer in features and notably integrating generative AI for the writing of promotional messages.
Until the creation of Fidelatoo, therefore before July 2022, a merchant wanting to digitize a loyalty program needed to create a tailor-made application for his store or he could implement CRM software or a specific tool, often expensive and complex to use. This type of offer remains the most common, but Fidelatoo changed the situation by offering another solution : the digitalization of personalized loyalty programs for all businesses from a single app. With Fidelatoo, merchants and their customers establish simple and direct contact by sending push notifications directly to the smartphone (extra points, rewards, exclusive offers, etc.). For more features, the merchant can upgrade to a premium version. With the same application, he manages the loyalty programs of several establishments at the same time. Thomas Lemaitre, founder of Squirrel and designer of Fidelatoo, had noted that “businesses are poorly equipped with loyalty cards, and half of loyalty programs are not profitable because merchants do not take care of them as they should”. A simplified service for a subscription accessible to all : thus we can summarize the first philosophy of Fidelatoo. This simplicity of use quickly met its audience, without real communication from Squirrel : after six months, Fidelatoo had already attracted 300 businesses and 5,000 users, in Reunion and France. Two years later, Thomas Lemaitre shows app statistics : 2,500 businesses and 33,000 registered customers, two thirds in mainland France, a third in Reunion, plus users in 25 territories and countries (DOM-TOM, Belgium, Suisse, Québec, North Africa…). “Around 200 new businesses and 3,000 users adopt Fidelatoo each month”, notes Thomas Lemaitre. Squirrel having continued to improve its product, a milestone of growth and development was finally reached by the app. The time has come for the reconfiguration of the project and new ambitions, because “the need for loyalty programs is the same everywhere”.
A specific company to develop the application
The sixth version of Fidelatoo, available in June, demonstrates the leap forward undertaken. Enriching and accelerating functionality, it brings the app to the level of the most sophisticated digital loyalty programs on the market, even surpassing them on certain points, while retaining the two assets that make it different, simplicity and multiplicity of use. Another consequence : Fidelatoo has grown to such an extent in the activity of the Squirrel agency that a separate company will be created to manage and develop it.. Flying with your own wings, Fidelatoo will be able to aim higher and further. In short, Fidelatoo change de dimension. Additional service, it becomes a showcase of Squirrel’s know-how. A new subscription formula must give the new company its financial autonomy. Building on its results already acquired inside and outside the island, Fidelatoo will set out to conquer part of the French market next year, then that of French-speaking countries in the process. For this purpose, Squirrel is preparing, with the support of BPI France, a fundraising of 400,000 euros, in order to finance the communication campaign which will launch Fidelatoo 2024.

With this fundraising, Squirrel is looking for partners ready to invest in Fidelatoo. This is the purpose of Thomas Lemaitre’s trip, nicer, au salon Vivatech. Fidelatoo is one of the innovative projects selected by Business France, who will be able to benefit from the major European Tech meeting. You will discover the web version of Fidelatoo, which will soon be put into service. Also the increased ease given to customer and merchant apps to communicate together. Among the “pluses” of the new version of Fidelatoo, generative artificial intelligence for writing customer messages : a textual content creation function aimed at traders who have difficulty with writing. “With AI, we are removing the text barrier in customer relations”, underlines Thomas Lemaitre. And always this strong point of the care given to ergonomics, which attracts users who are at odds with IT, major asset of Fidelatoo, which earns it scores of 4,7/5 sur Playstore et Applestore. Flexible system offering a common loyalty solution, Fidelatoo is particularly appreciated by franchisees, especially in fast food, who need to maintain a daily relationship with their customers.
