After two successful first editions, the PimpMyApp program, adopted by Orange Digital Center La Réunion, will make its grand return from April 15 to 26, 2024. A challenge that offers 24 candidates far from employment the opportunity to train for free and provide their perspective on innovative products for two weeks. Applicants can now register.
In 2022, the PimpMyApp course marked its first edition in overseas territories, in partnership with Orange Réunion and Orange Digital Center La Réunion. Created in 2017 by the digital services company (ESN) engaged Warren Walter, the PimpMyApp program is structured around two issues : innovation and equal opportunities. L’innovation, because the objective is to develop original solutions meeting the specific needs of a partner company, during a design sprint. And equal opportunities, because the system targets students or people far from employment, wishing to live a training experience that can be valued on the job market. In the meeting, PimpMyApp is part of the Orange Digital Center program. It allows participants from diverse backgrounds to, or to beneficiaries of Orange digital workshops, to mobilize their capacities to respond to a problem submitted by a local company or institution. From the ideation phase to the presentation of the solution, the teams have two “top time” weeks to get started, mature and concretize their thoughts. Throughout the process, they are accompanied by coaches sprint masters experienced by Warren Walter and benefit from interventions from mentors, Orange employees or external stakeholders, came to share experience and advice with them.
A hiring rate of 65%
In only two editions, the program has established itself as a significant and unifying event, recognized for its relevance and effectiveness, both by partner companies and associations and by trainees. The 2022 and 2023 sessions of PimpMyApp x Orange Digital Center La Réunion brought together 46 participants in total. The satisfaction rate among them stands at 97%., and the hiring rate in the six months following the event, at 65%. The third season will take place this year from April 15 to 26, at the Orange headquarters (35, boulevard du Chaudron). Interested and motivated people can submit their application online today on the platform or register for upcoming collective information meetings and workshops (https://www.pimpmyapp.fr/participer/pimpmyapp-edition-orange-la-reunion/).
A job dating offered to all participants
