Like every year, Nestlé celebrates Easter as it should be with a seasonal offer that is both full of innovation and respectful of traditions.
Easter wouldn't be Easter without chocolates. 77% of households buy chocolate at Easter and the vast majority in supermarkets. Families and seniors are the biggest buyers. And people in their fifties and sixties are increasingly buying. Organized at home or in public places, the traditional egg hunt remains more than ever a great moment of communion between generations within families. In 2020, Covid-19 spoiled the party, but several lessons are learned for 2021. In particular the popularity of confectionery which is confirmed and the essential moldings. Too, for Easter, Nestlé wants to offer choice on all its flagship molding references, confectionery, eggs and chocolates for adults. Castings : the rabbit king
In molding, the rabbit multiplies : next to the classic Smarties rabbit reference, a Galak rabbit and a Kit Kat rabbit are born. From the small format and multi-recipe range (85 g, 88 g) to the large format range (175 g, 200 g), passing through the 100 g of the Smarties hen, moldings meet all consumer expectations.
Confectionery : to each their own mini-format
In confectionery, Nestlé places emphasis on mini formats in 2021. It's about enjoying yourself as easily as possible thanks to a complete range of minis gathered in a single box. Smarties mini eggs : the softness of a confectioner's cream with the crunch of mini Smarties. Kit Kat mini eggs : Kit Kat wafer chip filling. Mini egg crunch : as crunchy as a classic Crunch. Completed with mini Kit Kat bunnies. And the confectionery range is expanded with three new formats : Kit Kat rabbit bag 145 g, the Smarties Village 104 g and the Smarties Pochette 195,8 g.
An egg hunt range
The new special egg hunt range consists of three Smarties gift boxes, Galak and Kit Kat in almost identical formats (122 g for the first brand, 120 g for the other two). A choice, eggs filled with smarties, with an inimitable Kit Kat taste, with white chocolate at Galak. Something to organize an egg hunt for all tastes.
Egg hunt for adults
For adults, This year, Les Recettes de l’Atelier and After Eight have in common an ideal format for sharing (around 150 g). The bags each contain 17 individually wrapped gourmet mini eggs. Mini milk eggs Recipes from the Workshop : milk chocolate center with hazelnut inclusions, almonds and raisins. Mini black eggs Workshop Recipes : dark chocolate center with almond and blueberry inclusions. After Eight mini-œufs : mint flowing heart, dark chocolate shell.
The classics still available
In the adult segment, la boîte 400 g After Eight, the leading “mint” brand is Nestlé’s number one reference at Easter. At Lanvin, the Mini Escargot is highly acclaimed. Lanvin is already number one at Christmas and L’Escargot is essential and unrivaled for pralines. The mini format encourages sharing, Lanvin Mini Escargot Milk (140 g) promises to be a sure value.
