Under the artistic direction of Louis-Marie de Castelbajac, Ortolan refreshes this historic alcohol by infusing it with rebellious and uninhibited energy, ready to seduce a new generation.
It’s in the heart of Gers, in the family castle of Loubersan, that the Ortolan brand has decided to shake up the traditional codes of Armagnac. However, the house attaches great importance to authenticity.. The house's vintages are made exclusively from Baco and Ugni Blanc from Bas-Armagnac., the noblest region of the appellation. From the vine to the bottle, she works without any additives to preserve the freshness and complexity of her eaux-de-vie. The collection offers five Armagnacs to be enjoyed on ice or in cocktails. These are unexpected bottles, with a hint of insolence, which invite us to take a slightly different look at this iconic spirit of the French terroir.
The Ortolan family
Ortolan Azur : this richly versatile Armagnac twists classic cocktails in a new light (example, based on a sidecar or an old fashioned). Ortolan of Gueules : armaganac aged five years, it can also be enjoyed pure, in a Sazerac cocktail or paired with a poultry dish. Ortolan de Sable : this Armagnac aged for more than ten years is a combination of lightness, freshness and length in the mouth. Ortolan Blanc : he serves it shake or replaces gin, white rum or vodka in variations of martini classics, daiquiri or french 75. Silver Ortolan : very first Ortolan opus in limited edition, bottled at full strength (64 %), this armagnac presents a palette of astonishing aromas which is reminiscent of the taste of Harlequin candies.
