The deployment of eSIM completes this miniaturization movement : From now on, the SIM is a component directly integrated into the terminal, with a size of only 6 x 5 mm. Orange Réunion-Mayotte has been offering this solution since mid-April. With eSIM, customers no longer need to go to a store or wait for a physical SIM to be sent to their home to activate their mobile services. When purchasing a new plan or renewing a SIM, the customer opts for the eSIM solution, before receiving an SMS verification code as well as a QR Code by email. All you have to do is scan this QR Code with your smartphone – as long as it is compatible – and enter the verification code to start installing the profile and activate the eSIM.. “By simplifying the experience of accessing mobile services and opening the way to new uses, eSIM is destined to become a new key element in the digital lives of our customers”, comments André Martin, Managing Director of Orange Réunion-Mayotte.
