Comorians and Malagasy are not happy
You have to go down to 127th and 130th place respectively to find the names of Madagascar and the Comoros in 2023 in the “world happiness ranking”, established each year since 2012 at the request of the United Nations. Six factors are taken into account to calculate the happiness index : GDP per capita, healthy life expectancy and mental health, social support, generosity, la corruption, freedom of expression. In the ranking published at the end of March there are 137 countries. Finland is in first place and Afghanistan in last place, after Lebanon. Mauritius appears in 59th position. France is 21st.
