Optical Center mobile trucks, almost a hundred today, have been crisscrossing the rural areas of mainland France for two years. Reunion Island franchisee of Optical Center, Anyl Rajabaly put one of these vehicles into service in September 2022 to serve gaps and isolated people. Screening days, including in businesses, are also made.
“Optical Center gets closer to you! » proclaims the OC Mobile on its flanks. Covering an area from Saint-Denis to Sainte-Rose, the OC Mobile is an Optical Center vehicle designed and equipped to carry out free visual and hearing screenings. Designed to be accessible to people with reduced mobility, it circulates in the Hauts for the benefit of people who have difficulty traveling, starting with the elderly. He comes to your home, but also at the request of town halls, retirement homes, of companies, etc., to organize screening days. This mobile optician antenna concept comes from Israel, where it was originally launched for charity. Founder of Optical Center in 1991, Laurent Levy transposed it to France on a large scale as a way to meet his customers. For Optical Center franchisees, leader today in optics and hearing in France, the acquisition of a fully equipped truck represents an investment of around 150,000 euros. One of a kind locally, the Reunion OC Mobile is led and deployed by Ulrich Niflore, director, helped by an assistant. Responding to many requests, the Optical Center Réunion mobile team regularly stops at Plaine-des-Palmistes and Salazie. He goes to meet residents of EHPADs in the north and east of the island. Several industrial companies have also already called on him. Optimal Center franchisee since 2012, Anyl Rajabaly manages four stores in Sainte-Clotilde, Saint-André, Saint-Pierre and Saint-Louis offering optical eyewear services, hearing aids and optometry.
