Former manager of Réunion Air Sûreté, Jean-François Moutoussamy has just taken over the management of the RAA group, specialized in airport services, which employs 750 people in our territory and displays new ambitions.
Founded in 1991, the RAA group offers a range of services in the airport and port sector : the safety of people and property with Réunion Air Sûreté, professional training with Réunion Accueil Formation, ground assistance for airlines with Réunion Air Assistance and handling with Réunion Air Manutention.
The board of directors of the RAA group recently appointed Jean-François Moutoussamy to its general management, until now manager of the Réunion Air Sûreté and Réunion Accueil Training entities. He replaces Philippe Elbez who has held this position since 2017. Five years that allowed the group to get through the health crisis, to structure and reorganize while initiating its digital transition. The appointment of Jean-François Moutoussamy opens a new stage for the RAA group which aims to create new structures. New service offerings will emerge in the coming months and will complement existing services.. Through its four structures, RAA wishes to become a péi brand with permanent involvement in the Reunion region via CSR.
An exemplary internal journey
“I hope that the pride of belonging to our group can guide the daily lives of all our employees”, declares Jean-François Moutoussamy, having himself gone through all the trades and training that the RAA group offers today. Graduated with a master's degree in Spanish, Jean-François Moutoussamy realized quite quickly that teaching was not his vocation. in 2002, he seized the opportunity to join Réunion Air Sûreté as a security operations agent and then an airport agent. In 2004, he began training as an air transport security instructor at the National School of Civil Aviation. (ENAC) in Toulouse. Then he specialized as a dog handler in explosive detection and PCR training. (Competent Person in Radiation Protection). With his new skills, he climbed the internal ranks of the RAA group : coordinator, team leader and finally operations manager. Appointed manager of RAS-RAF in 2015, he completed his knowledge with a course at Sciences Po. An exemplary career which confirms that airport jobs offer real career opportunities.
