Bestseller in the B-segment SUV market for over three years, the Peugeot 2008 takes a new step in terms of design, technology and electrification. Launched at the end of 2019 and produced nearly 700,000 copies, The Peugeot 2008 has always been on the podium for SUV sales in the B segment in Europe, even occupying the highest step in 2021. The success of this model is based in particular on that of the E-2008, pioneer of electrification in its segment since 2019 and produced more than 75,000 units, i.e. 17,4% of version sales in 2022, placing it on the podium in European sales of electric SUVs in the B segment.
A robust and muscular style
The new Peugeot 2008 first seduces with its design generally described as elegant, powerful and robust. The challenge for the Peugeot design team was to further strengthen its character, by amplifying its membership in the world of SUVs and spectacularly asserting its move upmarket. The 2008 is notably the second model to adopt Peugeot's new identity light signature. : three vertical luminous claws which, on the new 2008, are integrated into the glossy black inserts of the shield. The new 2008 is available in six body colors (Gris Selenium, Artense Gray, Blanc Okenite, Black Pearl Nera, Elixir Red and Vertigo Blue). Modern, Selenium Gray is chosen as the launch color. The GT version benefits from a two-tone black roof as standard.. On all new 2008s, the mirrors are black, regardless of the body color chosen.
The pleasure of driving Peugeot
We also appreciate the versatility and agility which make this new 2008 an SUV particularly suited to active families.. Key element of the passenger compartment, the Peugeot i-Cockpit is one of the strong markers of the brand's models. Located at eye level, just above the steering wheel, the instrument cluster of the new 2008 is digital on the Allure and GT versions. Its 10-inch digital panel (compared to 7 inches previously) receives a new design and, on GT versions, a 3D display. The new 2008s receive a new gear shift knob, for more ergonomics. In addition to Peugeot’s very comprehensive driving aid system, They are equipped with enhanced traction with Grip Control which allows access to three driving modes : sable, mud, snow.
A new standard in electrification and connectivity
Pioneer of 100% electric SUVs in the B segment, the E-2008 receives the new engine already adopted by the E-208 and E-308. Maximum power increases by 15%, going from 100 kW/136 hp to 115 kW/156 hp, while the battery goes from 50 to 54 kWh. The significant work carried out on efficiency makes it possible to reconcile the increase in performance with an increase in autonomy, which reaches up to 406 km compared to 345 km previously. Early 2024, the new 2008 will receive the new Hybrid 48V engine which consists of a new generation PureTech 136 hp gasoline engine coupled to a new six-speed electrified double-clutch gearbox incorporating an electric motor. The new 2008 also benefits from the latest generation of Peugeot connected information systems., the i-Connect system, and all versions can optionally receive the Peugeot i Connect Advanced system.
