For his twenty years of expertise, the Reunion health control laboratory moved this year to new premises equipped with the latest technologies.
First private laboratory on the island accredited by the French Accreditation Committee (Cofrac) from 2007, Microlab offers international level expertise in the chemical and microbiological analysis of water, food and the environment. His twenty years of experience serving the health security of the populations of the Indian Ocean, by providing the highest quality analytical services, makes it a key player in its various areas of intervention. Agri-food : microbiological analyzes of foodstuffs for food manufacturers, mass distribution, collective canteens, artisans and food professions. Water for human consumption : water potability analyzes from the resource to distribution to the consumer's tap. Controlling the risk of legionella : analyzes of domestic hot water networks in establishments open to the public (hospitals, medical-social centers, hotels, holiday centers…) and industrial installations such as cooling towers. Recreational waters : microbiological and chemical analyzes of beaches, rivers and collective swimming pools to ensure the health safety of bathers. Hospital hygiene : environmental analyzes, microbiological and chemical in dialysis, protected areas (operating theaters, maternity wards…) to ensure the health safety of patients in hospital establishments. Waste water : chemical and microbiological analyzes of wastewater and sludge in order to quantify pollution and thus ensure the proper functioning of wastewater treatment stations. Audits and training : audit services and training in the field of hygiene and food safety.
New, state-of-the-art premises
This year, Microlab has taken a significant step forward by moving to other premises in the new Pierrefonds area. This space, with an area of 900 m², expandable to 1,200 m², equipped with the latest technologies, offers the technical-scientific team an optimal environment to continue its health safety missions. Founded in 2004, Microlab has experienced remarkable growth, going from 2 to 65 employees in twenty years and reaching a turnover which today exceeds five million euros. An expansion demonstrating the trust placed in Microlab by local public and private stakeholders.
