Distributed by JCA in Reunion, the MG brand now has a showroom in Saint-Pierre that matches its ambitions. Its asset : the new MG3 Hybrid+, with its impactful price-equipment ratio, which intends to carve out its place in the booming hybrid market.
With the current cold snap on electric vehicles, the way seems wide open to hybrid vehicles whose electric motor is recharged while driving. With, in addition, the tax implemented by the European Union at the start of 2024 on imported Chinese vehicles, Chinese manufacturers without a production plant in Europe are more than encouraged to invest in this hybrid segment. This is the case for MG with the MG3 Hybrid+, recently launched in Reunion by Kolors Automobiles. Christophe Caillé, director of operations Kolors Automobiles, made this launch coincide with the inauguration, last month, of the new MG Saint-Pierrois showroom in the Canabady area. A showroom dedicated to this novelty. A development justified by the importance of the hybrid segment in Reunion (28% market share). The vehicle has no shortage of arguments to interest individuals, but also businesses, where the hybrid is gaining ground.
Largest battery in its class
The Hybrid+ engine, dite « Full Hybrid », non rechargeable, operates in 100% electric mode over short distances. The “+” of Hybrid+ came from its battery. The MG3 Hybrid+ features the largest battery in its class : 1,83 kWh. It allows you to reach 60 km/h in 100% electric mode.. With its 195 horsepower, its on-board technology and its interior (the vehicle belongs to the B-Hatch segment hatchbacks), the sedan concentrates comfort, security and performance,
as well as silence. Note the possibility of access to the main functions via buttons that will be appreciated by those who eventually tire of the touchscreen of any screen.. Taking up the plunging lines of the hood, visual image of MG sedans, the design of the MG3 Hybrid+ was created in collaboration with the brand's London studio. Available in three versions, Standard,
Comfort et Luxury (like the MG4), and in seven colors. Does the new MG3 “shake up the rules established in the city car segment”?, as MG states ? Complete response in the brand's two showrooms in Saint-Denis and, From now on, in Saint-Pierre.
