Desalination plant : the contract awarded

The Les Eaux de Mayotte union awarded the contract for the Ironi Bé seawater desalination plant to the group formed by Stereau at the beginning of September. (engineering subsidiary of the Saur group, representative), Artelia, Arom, Colas and Saur France. The global performance market is about design, the construction and operation of the future Grande-Terre factory, which must provide 10,000 m3 of drinking water per day. In the amount of 36 million euros, the project is due to be completed by the end of 2025. A second tranche is planned for 2026, in order to increase the capacity of the plant to 16,670 m3 per day. The completion of the factory is impatiently awaited by the inhabitants of Mayotte, facing increasing shortages of drinking water each year as the rainy season approaches.

The departmental council supports Zena Airlines

The departmental council of Mayotte voted in mid-October for a subsidy of 500,000 euros in favor of the Zena Airlines airline project, worn by the Novou brothers for several years. This sum should allow them to finance the administrative procedures aimed at obtaining the air transport certificate.. Several major projects launched

The departmental council of Mayotte voted in September to launch three major projects : the construction of a maritime training center, a gymnasium and a building for the departmental archives. The maritime training center will be created in Petite-Terre, based on the existing center in Dzaoudzi, for an amount of work estimated at 20 million euros. The new gymnasium will be built in the north of Grande-Terre and will also cost around twenty million euros.. And budget on the 24th,5 million euros has finally been allocated for the construction of departmental archives.
