Lack of water, the Islands Economic Forum postponed
The historic water shortage that has hit Mayotte for several months has cascading consequences. The Indian Ocean Islands Economic Forum, which was to be held in November in the 101st French department, is thus postponed from April 17 to 19, 2024 “taking into account the water restrictions which affect our territory”, announced at the beginning of September the departmental council. The 14th edition of the Forum, supported by Cap Business Indian Ocean (formerly Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Indian Ocean), will be organized in the new technology park of Mayotte.
