The Interreg program managed by the Department
The Departmental Council becomes for the first time the management authority of a European fund, Interreg VI Mozambique Channel, which starts and runs until 2027. This regional cooperation program has an envelope of 10,2 million euros in grants, which will be able to finance projects concerning at least two countries and territories among Mayotte, the Comoros, Mozambique and Reunion. The Mahorese community has already launched a call for expressions of interest to detect project leaders in the areas of economic development, in the fight against climate change, the protection and promotion of the environment and the implementation of a European pillar of social rights.
