This good economic trend was based on solid household consumption and the realization of public and private investments.. Despite an inflationary context since the end of 2020, foreign trade records a significant increase in imports, carried by all types of goods, both those intended for households and those for business use. Overall activity improved throughout the year, more particularly in the first half. This development mainly benefits the construction and trade sectors., while commercial services are experiencing difficulties. Finally, the dynamism of banking activity continues, underlines Iédom : the collection of savings is strengthening and the support of the banking system for financing the economy continues to grow, although with less intensity than in previous years.
