The Indian group Larsen & Toubro (L&T) won a new contract in Mauritius’ “Métro Express” in February, the tram line which, eventually, must connect Port Louis to Curepipe and Quatre-Bornes. The contract covers a section of 3,4 km of tracks between Rose-Hill and Réduit. Its amount has not been revealed. At the origin of the Metro Express project, Larsen&Toubro will also have to build three new stations, works of art and setting up signage systems, ticketing and passenger information.
